Montreal, December 10, 2018 – V undertook the biggest change in its history this fall with the repositioning of the brand in the Quebec television landscape and the unveiling of its new look. This winter, the channel that does TV differently intends to build on its success by presenting genuine, current, lively and bold content in a lineup that features several exciting new shows and the return of eagerly anticipated top rated programs. An impressive programming schedule designed for passionate viewers! It’s all happening on V starting January 28!
More than ever, humour will be taking centre stage this winter on V. Monday to Thursday at 9:30 pm, comedians of all ages and all walks of life will keep viewers in stitches on the new show Le Open Mic de… Details to follow! Quebecers will laugh out loud watching Phil s’invite (Wednesday 8 pm) hosted by Phil Roy who will literally be inviting himself into the homes of Quebec’s favourite artists. Dominic Paquet will be returning with the second season of Mets-y le Paquet (Monday 7:30 pm). A brand new batch of zany characters and crazy moments await viewers this season!
For those seeking tender, touching moments, V will be presenting the seventh season of L’amour est dans le pré, now scheduled on Thursday evenings at 8 pm. Marie-Eve Janvier will take viewers to the four corners of the province starting January 31 for privileged access to the most endearing and authentic love stories on Quebec television.
The action is a little more rough and rugged in the lumber yard on Maître du chantier (Monday 8 pm). This new competition hosted by Patrick Groulx follows 12 young construction professionals competing in a skills competition that will determine the best entrepreneur in Quebec.
V immerses viewers in a world of discovery with a selection of original documentaries that will leave no one indifferent. Starting February 1st at 8:30 pm, we’ll ride along with extreme cleaning professionals as they ply their trade eliminating all traces of disasters, tackling unsanitary environments or cleaning up crime scenes on Les effaceurs. Huissiers (Friday 8 pm) presents six new episodes before making way for the second season of Ambulances animales, starting March 15th.
In April, the Institut de protection contre les incendies du Québec swings open the fire station doors on Pompiers* ( *working title, Wednesday 8 pm). The show follows recruits as they undergo very rigorous training in hopes of becoming the firefighters of tomorrow !
Weekdays, sit back and unwind with V’s very popular family-friendly 5P – 7P programming block. On the menu: The Simpsons (4:30 pm), new episodes of La guerre des clans (5:30 pm), Un souper presque parfait (6 pm) and Rire et délire (7 pm).
You won’t want to miss the impressive decorating makeovers on the fourth season of Tout s’embellit avec Julie (Tuesday 7:30 pm, starting March 26th) A new addition this year; Julie tackles the exterior of the homes. Another of V’s must-see shows is RPM, in addition to celebrating its 20th year on the air, the show will be presenting its 500th episode this winter and will feature more content created in collaboration with RPM +.
International TV series and films that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
A wide variety of international TV series presented weeknights at 9 :30 pm complements V’s winter broadcast schedule. In addition to new episodes of Scorpion, NCIS: Los Angeles, Chicago Police and SEAL team:cœur et courage, a new show will be making its debut: Les juristes (Wednesday, FV of For the People). Season 2 of Imposteurs and Season 4 of Le dernier navire will be added to the channel’s broadcast lineup in April. Action and emotion await Quebec viewers this winter, as well as a great assortment of films that will enthrall movie fans!
