Montreal, May 6th, 2019 – L’amour est dans le pré touches and captivates viewers year after year with its endearing and enduring real-life love stories. The popular reality TV series seduced viewers once again reaching over 2.5 million Quebecers!  An incredible level of success that paves the way for the show’s return for an 8th season!

An average of 642,000 viewers tuned in every week on television and on, representing an increase of 16.5% over the previous year. Episode 11 alone, which coincided with the end of the farmers idyllic getaways, attracted 729,000 viewers. The 7th season of L’amour est dans le pré captured a 16.2% market share*.

On the web, the brand generated over 2.6 million page views on since the announcement of the five official participants last December. It also attracted more than 460,000 unique visitors and generated almost 875,000 content views. L’amour est dans le pré attracts an audience that is very active on social media. The show’s Facebook page reached 6.7 million users this past season. The page’s 157,000 fans generated an engagement rate of over 20%**. Not surprisingly, the multiplatform success of the popular reality TV show shows no sign of slowing down!

To date in Quebec, L’amour est dans le pré is responsible for the formation of over a dozen long-lasting romantic relationships which resulted in the birth of 18 children. Last season ended with Gabriel’s marriage proposal to Clara, one of the 5th season’s fan favourite couples on the reunion show that featured most of the couples who are still very much in love. Two of the couples formed on season 7 of the show are still together.
