Montreal, Mai 14th, 2019 – This fall, Groupe V Média will be introducing a new specialty television channel in Quebec aimed primarily at active women aged 25 to 54. Featuring 100% fiction programming, in French, the channel will present the most popular films and television series available today and classics that will immerse viewers in nostalgic moments. To achieve the goals it has set for the new channel, Groupe V Média has partnered with Lagardère, the French group which owns the prestigious ELLE brand, to create ELLE Fictions. The Lagardère Group is thus entrusting Groupe V Média to develop a new international experience for the iconic brand on television.

Scheduled to launch August 26th, ELLE Fictions is a specialty channel targeting active women aged 25 to 54. It will present current and classic TV series and movies that are easy to watch and arouse passion and strong emotions. The channel’s programming will offer viewers opportunities to dream, escape and relive moments of nostalgia.
Dawson’s Creek, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls, the new generation of Dynasty, the exclusive For the People from Shonda Rhimes, the telenovela Pasion Prohibida and Road to Avonlea are only a few of the great TV series that will make up the channel’s program schedule. It’s also important to note that the programming lineup will also include an impressive array of films that include television premieres, great classics, Hallmark original movies and movies based on Harlequin novels.
Groupe V Média has entered into agreements with several distributors and studios for the acquisition of television series and films to be broadcast on ELLE Fictions, including CBS Studios International, Disney-ABC Television Group, Warner Bros., Universal Studios and Sony Pictures. An exclusive output agreement was also signed with Crown Media – Hallmark.
