Press release – For immediate distribution

Montreal, September 11, 2019 – Colourful, young and self-assured: V has been standing out and doing TV differently for ten years now! The channel is maintaining its bold approach in the coming year and has assembled a programming schedule that is just as surprising, funny and vibrant as ever. Starting September 16, V continues the most important shift in its history with the presentation of an eye-catching program lineup!

Before giving center stage to the exciting return of Julie Snyder as host of a talk show on V next winter, the channel will pursue its successful collaboration with the well-known producer by presenting a 3rd edition of Occupation Double on the V airwaves. Once again hosted by Jay Du Temple, the most talked about reality show will now be traveling to South Africa. Airing Sunday to Thursday at 6:30 pm, starting September 16. Be sure to tune in for the famous red carpet on September 22, followed by a new version of “behind the scenes of Occupation Double” every Sunday night at 8 pm!

To this much-anticipated return, we’ve added future audience favourite À table avec mon ex, the Quebec adaptation of  the popular British concept Eating with my ex. Well-known comedian Ève Côté will narrate and comment on the proceedings that are sure to spark numerous discussions and exchanges. Former couples will be tying up loose ends and unresolved issues over a meal. Airing Monday to Thursday at 7 pm. André Ducharme will be back to narrate a 10th incredible season of Un souper presque parfait (weekdays at 6 pm) featuring its daily diet of flamboyant dinners.

On the comedy side, follow the antics of Marie-Soleil Dion and Jonathan Roberge every Wednesday at 8 pm on the second season of Ne jamais faire à la maison. A new house, new experiments, but the same great fun and complicity between the two hosts and this season they will be welcoming special guests such as Pierre Hébert, Philippe Laprise, Alex Perron and Léane Labrèche-Dor. Be really careful not to get punked by one of Dominic Paquet’s zany characters in Mets-y le Paquet which will be presented in the coveted Monday 8 pm timeslot starting this September! To get away from it all on weeknights, V is presenting new episodes of L’Open Mic de … Monday to Thursday at 9 pm featuring stand up performances from over 50 comedians from many different backgrounds. Well-known names of the Quebec comedy scene such as Martin Petit, Katherine Levac, P-A Méthot and Jérémy Demay will host their own stand-up comedy open mic weeks.

Another notable return this fall is RPM which celebrated its 20th season and reached the 500th episode milestone last year. That’s no small feat! Automotive enthusiasts will also be delighted to learn that RPM+ will also be returning for a new season featuring our automotive experts answering viewer questions (Sunday 10 am and 11 am). Return to the unusual world of bailiffs as they cope with new situations, unsettling circumstances and endearing stories in the popular docu-reality series Huissiers (Friday 8 pm). This season, you will learn even more about this obscure profession with new protagonists and never before seen cases!

In terms of new program acquisitions, Whiskey Cavalier, starring Lauren Cohan and Scott Foley, joins our lineup of well-established drama series. L’agent de l’heure du FBI (The FBI)  steps into our weeknight crime drama strip, now at 10 pm, which includes the hit series NCIS: Los Angeles, Seal Team: coeur et courage and Chicago Police. The Rock and Ellen Degeneres will also be entertaining viewers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8 pm with The Titan Games and the second season of Les jeux fous d’Ellen (Ellen’s Game of Games).
