Montreal, December 3, 2019 – Again this winter, MAX is the destination for people seeking high quality entertainment that offers the best international TV series in French. In the dark, The Village, Marcella and Hudson and Rex, four exciting new shows will debut on January 6, in addition to a wide selection of films and the return of several MAX subscriber favourites.

Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m., Dans le noir (In the dark), CW’s hit series, and Un village à Brooklyn (The village) will be presented on MAX. The first new addition to the lineup follows a blind woman who decides to take control of her life in order to solve her friend’s murder, while the second series will satisfy feel-good TV show enthusiasts with its comforting crossover stories.  

Police television dramas are also hugely popular and this winter viewers will be captivated by the critically acclaimed British series Marcella airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Does Marcella Backland have anything to hide? In April, good-natured detective Charlie Hudson, played by John Reardon, will arrive on the scene to solve crimes accompanied by his faithful four-legged companion Rex. Is his dog really the best partner for him? We’ll find out this winter in Hudson & Rex


Returning viewer favourites

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 p.m., Les magiciens (The Magicians) (starting February 25) returns for a 4th season with brand new episodes and viewers won’t want to miss the 5th and final season of Gotham (starting March 5) this time on MAX! Colonie (Colony) is also back for a 3rd season on February 20th, while season 1 of Intemporel (Timeless) sets the stage for the new episodes on Season 2 starting January 29th.

Several popular shows which aired in the fall continue with new episodes starting on January 6: Supergirl (Tuesday 10 p.m.), Turbulences (Manifest) (Wednesday 8 p.m.), Chicago Med (Thursday 8 p.m.) and Marvel: les agents du S.H.I.E.L.D (Thursday 10 p.m.).

MAX will also be presenting a wide range of films for movie lovers, from classics to the latest box office hits. This winter, stay tuned for Zoolander No.2, Argo, Pearl Harbor and Coach Carter among others.
