Montreal, December 3, 2019 – After a first audience-pleasing season of watercooler TV, ELLE Fictions is adding two new series to its popular program lineup. This winter, get away from it all with two new shows that will have everyone talking! On January 6, dive into the mysterious world of Riviera, starring Julia Stiles, and enter the surreal world of the French version of The Good Place (Une chipie au paradis) with Kristin Bell. Strong emotions and laughter are guaranteed!

Riviera marks the return to the small screen of actress Julia Stiles. She plays the role of a widow who loses her rich husband in an explosion on a yacht. She needs to determine who she can trust so she can uncover the truth about her husband’s past. The television drama’s exciting ten-episode first season begins Tuesday, January 7 at 8 p.m.

On the comedy side, the first two seasons of the hit fantasy comedy series The Good Place (Une chipie au paradis) will premiere on Wednesday, February 26 at 8 p.m. Eleanor Shellstrop is an ordinary woman who wakes up in the afterlife and soon realizes that she was sent to heaven by mistake. She is determined to hide her past and become a better person to make sure she earns her place for real. Both new shows will be available on!


A ton of new episodes!

Amour Interdit (Pasion Prohibida) (Monday to Thursday 1 p.m.), Les Juristes (For the People) (Wednesday 8 p.m.), Dynasty (Monday 8 p.m.) will be back with new episodes beginning in the first week of January. Le guide de la parfait divorcée (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce), first presented in reruns, will lead up to the new episodes of season 3 starting Thursday, April 9 at 8 p.m., while the 6th season of Younger will debut on Friday, May 1 at 8:30 p.m. 

Dawson’s Creek (Monday to Thursday 4 p.m.), Gilmore Girls (Monday to Friday 5 p.m.), Gossip Girl (Monday to Friday 6 p.m.), Beautés Déspérées (Desperate Housewives) (Monday to Friday 7 p.m.) and Ugly Betty (Monday to Thursday 2 p.m.) will entertain viewers all week long with new episodes of the feel-good stories we all love to watch…. again and again! Guilt-free TV to be discovered and rediscovered!

Movie lovers will also be well served with weekday movies starting at 9 p.m. and on weekends, featuring the biggest box office stars in blockbuster movies and classic films. Viewers can look forward to titles such as Coup de foudre à Notting Hill (Notting Hill), L’attrape parents (the Parent Trap), La marieuse (The Wedding Planner) and Romy and Michele: les reines de la soirée (Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion).
